The first song I listened to when checking out this band was “Cop Killer”, and with a title like that, of course I was expecting something sort of punk. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn’t very punk at all, more like awesome, dark synthpop. The whole album is weird, and overall pretty awesome. Also, this guy’s a political philosophy and theory instructor at the University of Hawaiiʻi at Mānoa, which makes him even more cool, I think…
