Newest album by Grimes, it just came out and I’ve been listening to it nonstop. It’s so good, I can’t get enough of it. Her video for “Oblivion” is awesome too. Definitely get her older stuff I’ve posted too, if you don’t have it.

I’ve been meaning to post this album for way too long. I posted her before, though she seems to have blown up since then. And with good reason, her music’s amazing, beautiful and very different. Oh, and D’eon’s pretty good too.
Most of the songs on this album are whatever or even cheesy, but these two songs alone make it so worth it, just listen.

A few years back, this album was the soundtrack to all the awesome e parties that we used to have on a regular basis. What I’m trying to say is this is perfect music for rolling to. It’s also really good when you’re not rolling, though.

Awesome, catchy, energetic electronic tunes. They remind me of Germany Germany, so if you enjoyed them, you’ll probably like this. This song is so uplifting and feel good, but not in a lame cheesy sort of way, I love listening to it.

This song is so amazing! When I first heard it, I thought it was kind of weird, but after a few listens, I just can’t get over how good it is!
The first song I listened to when checking out this band was “Cop Killer”, and with a title like that, of course I was expecting something sort of punk. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn’t very punk at all, more like awesome, dark synthpop. The whole album is weird, and overall pretty awesome. Also, this guy’s a political philosophy and theory instructor at the University of Hawaiiʻi at Mānoa, which makes him even more cool, I think…
One of my top albums for 2011! A must have, it’s sexy, dark, heavy, dreamy, seductive synthwave. I’ve loved Ladytron for close to 10 years now, so I was looking forward to this release, but I have to say, it blew away all expectations. Ladytron, despite having been around for so long a time, not only manage to keep up with modern music, but I feel they’re well in the front, leading the way. I find this album a lot better than so much of the new stuff I’m hearing lately—and I’m by no means the type who thinks music was better back in the day.
